KONOSUBA: An Explosion on This Wonderful World Episode 1 SPOILER FREE Review | Season 3?

Long awaited anime is back, but, it's not the season 3. One thing that should be made clear is that this is not the third season, instead, this is a spin-off series, focusing on the journey and background of Megumin and how she met her current friends. So, sadly, characters like Aqua, Kazuma and Darkness won't be appearing. But, don't be sad, be happy that at least we are given something after waiting for 4 years. 

This review is gonna be spoiler free so I won't be summarizing the entire episode. I'll just give my personal opinions and will try to keep it short.

Personal Review

As already mentioned, this anime will only focus on Megumin and her background and how she became the explosion magic user and met with Kazuma and others. But still, without Kazuma and others, the episode felt empty. There was comedy but I missed Aqua and Kazuma (Darkness too lol). This episode also has its sad parts, like the situation of Megumin's family. There wasn't much as it was just the first episode. We also get to know how Megumin met Yun Yun and how they became rivals.

Well, anyway, this episode was good, not that good as I expected but I should be happy that we are getting a new series, at least. I hope they show us something about Kazuma and others too, though that's hardly possible.

Still, I won't give up on it, its just the first episode so chill, there's more to come.
