The World of anime not only offers you genres such as comedy, action, mecha, etc. but also offers horror genre. 2/6 - Another (2012)
Japanese Title: Another
Genre: Horror, Dark Fantasy, Thriller, Mystery
No of Episodes: 12
Studio: P.A. Works
Rating (by admin): 8.6/10
Another is a pretty wide-known horror anime, even you must have heard of it. Because of an unknown curse, people start getting killed in every way imaginable. And usually the most grotesque ways, too. The only way to stop the rampant death is to solve a mystery that has been long forgotten. And that’s the constant atmosphere of the show.
3/6 - Seoul Station (2016)
Japanese Title: Seoul Station
Genre: Horror, Dark Fantasy, Thriller, Zombie
Runtime: 1h 32m
Studio: Canal
It's a zombie themed movie, you can even say a prequel to Train to Busan (not really). This movie in particular does some noteworthy stuff when it comes to how the zombies look. They get very creative, very creepy, and become lowkey nightmare fuel.
4/6 - Junji Itou Collection (2018)
Japanese Title: Junji Itou Korekushon
Genre: Horror, Dark Fantasy, Thriller, Horror Fiction
No of Episodes: 12 (24 segments)
Studio: Deen
Rating (by admin): 8/10
Now, if you are a fan of horror anime then you definitely have heard of Junji Ito. He is a horror manga and stories author and a pretty famous one. This anime is also an episodic series with several Junji Ito's Story Collection, which vary in degree, regarding everything fear inducing. Never-escaping nightmares, deadly curses, slugs growing in your mouth, you know the usual stuff.
5/6 - Hell Girl (2005)
Japanese Title: Jigoku Shoujo
Genre: Horror, Dark Fantasy, Thriller, Mystery
No of Episodes: 26 + 26
Studio: Deen
Rating (by admin): 8.1/10
It is an episodic anime, which means that every episode is a different story. The only common thing is Hell Girl. It is a show that will have you fear humans more than the literal devil. In its universe, anyone who holds malice in their heart can access a specific site at midnight and wish for one person to be killed, no questions asked. The only catch is, the person who made the request has to sell their soul to the devil.
6/6 - Highschool of the Dead (2011)
Japanese Title: Gakuen Mokushiroku Haisukuru obu za Deddo
Genre: Horror, Dark Fantasy, Thriller, Zombie, Ecchi, Gore
No of Episodes: 12
Studio: Madhouse
Rating (by admin): 8.7/10
Another Zombie anime show and my first horror anime (and ecchi too). Yes, it contains a truckload of ecchi scenes so if you were planning to watch it with someone, then don't. It has the typical setup for a zombie horror story, deserving a spot on this list. A pandemic called the “Outbreak” spreads throughout Japan, and humans turn into zombies while groups of students struggle to survive.
Sadly, the author of HOTD has passed away so there won't be anymore of it but you should still give it a try.
***So that is it for today's blog, keep in touch for more of it's part and other blogs too.***
