"Am I Actually The Strongest" Episode 1 Review | The Rising of the Barrier Hero | SPOILER FREE

Am I Actually the Strongest Episode 1 Review, anime review, summer 2023 anime, isekai anime, overpowered anime, isekai anime with overpowered mc, anime like the eminence in shadow, is am i actually the strongest worth watching

Another one of the anime releasing this summer, Am I Actually the Strongest is an isekai anime about a shut-in who gets reincarnated as an overpowered being in another world by a goddess (Damn, I summarised 90% of the Isekai anime plot here). But, there's a twist to it (there's to every anime).

Short Episode Summary
The episode starts with your typical Shut-in NEET MC who tells the viewer about his tragic lifestyle and how much he hates it (that he can change if he wants to). Then all of a sudden he is sucked into a game that he was playing. After it, he faces a goddess who tells him about his reincarnation (a veery familiar type of goddess).

After being reincarnated, we see he is born to a king and queen of some kingdom and his mother has also defeated the demon king. His parents has high hopes for him and asks a mage to measure his level, which turns out to be 2, and to add to it, he doesn't have any element affinity and can only use barrier magic. This infuriates the couple and results in the baby being left in the middle of forest. We then see the goddess explaining that the baby is actually very overpowered and his level is 1002, not 2 and the device could only display the last digits, that is 002. And our clumsy Aqua and Listarte kinda goddess forgets to give him an element.
In the forest, the baby, an adult on the inside, tries to survive a demon wolf's attack by putting a barrier around himself.

As his level is so much higher, he defeats the wolf and the wolf becomes his servant. Then things happened...

Demon Wolf Waifu Flay asking Maruto for his seeds, A fury woman asking a newborn for sex

...and our MC is taken in by a knight of royal family, and just like that 9 years has passed.

Personal Opinion
Personally, I quite enjoyed this episode and I'm looking forward to more. As weird as it may sound, I quite like the anime where MC is overpowered and no one knows, hehe. So, yeah, that's the reason I liked this episode. But that's not the only reason. The plot is also somewhat different (not much) and the comedy is good in this too. It's not just your average isekai anime, so you should definitely give it a try.
That's all I can say for now, I quite liked Vermeil in Gold for it's unique plot too but ended up dropping it after just 4 episodes, so I can't say much about this anime just now but I have high hopes for it.
