1- Into the Forest of Fireflies' Light (2011)

This short movie seemed illegal at first but started to look legal afterwards. A girl named Hotaru used to visit her grandma during summer holidays. One day she was saved by a forest spirit, Gin. After this she started to hang out with Gin. She spent her entire holidays with Gin and eventually fell in love with him. But the thing is that Gin would vanish as soon as he is touched by a human. This heartbreaking but wholesome movie will surely bring tears to your eyes.

2- I Want to Eat your Pancreas (2018)

THE BEST ROMANCE ANIME MOVIE I HAVE EVER WATCHED. I don't know how many times I watched this masterpiece and I swear every time I watched this, I cried a lot. The feels this movie gives and everything related to this movie, I LOVE IT. Even when I'm writing this, my eyes are teary. 

First of all, don't judge it by it's name. It's name is derived from an ancient Japanese belief that...Okay I won't spoil, watch it yourself. One day a boy stumbles upon the secret diary of his classmate in the hospital and finds out that she's suffering from a fatal pancreatic illness. The boy starts helping the girl, Sakura, in experiencing all the things she had on her bucket list. And in turn the former introverted boy starts to open up to world and understanding the meaning of friendship.

3- The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006)

Japanese Title: Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo

Genre: Supernatural, Romance, Drama

As the name suggests, this movie is related to time travel. Makoto Konno, a high school girl accidently travels back in time, though not so long back, by using a shell like device. Using this new ability of hers, she travels back in time to her advantage. But it was not so long when she realized that every action has consequences.

4- Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop (2021)

This movie has a different art style which makes watching it even better. This movie is about two introverted teenager opening up to one another.

Cherry is a calm kid who loves Haiku. One day he meets a cheerful girl named Smile in a shopping mall. Cherry has a difficulty in talking and Smile is anxious about her buck teeth. They get closer as they help an old man in finding something in their summer holiday.

5- The Wind Rises (2013)

Japanese Title: Kaze Tachinu

This fictional biography on the life of Jiro Horikoshi is perhaps one of the most beautiful anime romantic movies ever made by Studio Ghibli. Although, the main theme is not of romance but of Jiro chasing his dream of creating the infamous Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter aircraft and the toll that it takes on him. The movie has anti-war overtones. Interestingly the thing that stands out in this movie is the wonderful relationship between Jiro and his wife Naoko Satomi. This is one film that you wouldn’t regret watching.

6- Fireworks, Should we See it from Bottom or from Side? (2017)

Japanese Title: Uchiage Hanabi, Shita kara Miru ka? Yoko kara Miru ka?

This movie also involves time travel, but not like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. You will find out how when you will watch this movie. A girl finds a pretty transparent ball by a seashore which has the power to turn back time. The girl plans to run away from her gloomy home with her classmate. When her attempt fails and she drops the ball, her classmate picks the ball up and finds out about it's power. Then he uses it to their favor everytime their escape plan fails. But, of course, using that ball also had some consequences.
