6 One Piece Theories That Might Be True

One Piece first aired in 1999 and has over 1035+ episodes till date. Throughout the series many fan-theories are created to solve various mysteries of One Piece world. Most of those theories may not be true but there are theories that have 90% chance of being true.

Here are 5 One Piece theories that might be true, ranked in no particular order.

 1. Blackbeard is Three People in One Body

Possessing two Devil Fruit was said to be impossible but during the Marineford Arc, Blackbeard not only shocked the One Piece world but us viewer too by using two different Devil Fruit Powers. One theory states that Blackbeard might have a condition known as "fetus in fetu" and he has two more people inside his body. This might sound crazy to you but some evidences do support this theory.

One evidence is that during Jaya Arc, Zoro and Luffy refers to Blackbeard as "they", which most of the viewers thought at that time as his crew but Oda (God of Foreshadowing) might have other plans.
During Marineford Arc, Marco also mentions that Blackbeard's body is "unique". Another evidence that points towards this theory is Blackbeard's Jolly Roger, which has three skulls. If this theory is true, then it would also explain how Blackbeard could possess multiple Devil Fruits.

2. Roronoa Shimotsuki Zoro

It's very strange that it has been more than 1035 eps since Zoro was first introduced and we still don't know much about Zoro's past. We're only told that Zoro is from East Blue and that he was trained by Koushiro. Now, here is the theory; Oda said that a vessel left Wano 50 years ago and arrived in East Blue. This vessel is, most probably,  Shimotsuki Kozaburo and he is the one who established Shimotsuki Village, where Zoro trained.

Yasu said that two years after Oden's fall, they fought Kaido but eventually lost. It is possible that after their fight Ushimaru didn't die but fled Wano and reached East Blue where he lived under the name Roronoa. So it is possible that Zoro is the son of Ushimaru Shimotsuki.

3. NAMI IS URANUS

Nami being Uranus actually makes sense if you think about it. Nami's navigation skills are unexplainable. No amount of training can make someone "feel" weather through with their body and Nami didn't even trained for this, it was natural for her. And not only this, there are many incidents which supports this theory:
  • Arlong saying "God-given Power".
  • Enel congratulating Nami and saying "Forget those inferior people" and lets her on his ship to his Dream Land.
  • Shirohashi, being an Ancient Weapon herself, immediately took a liking to her and told her, "I know we're just meeting for the first time but somehow I feel comfortable around you (probably connections between Ancient Weapons)"
All of this points towards Nami being an Ancient Weapon herself or it could be that she is the descendant of one as we don't know about her parents.

4. Ace and Bonney are Siblings

Everyone including us viewers believed that Pirate King's bloodline ended with the death of Ace, however, many viewers claim that bloodline of Pirate King might still be alive.

According to a theory, Rouge gave birth to not only Ace but to twins; Bonney & Ace. It also suggests that Rouge possessed the same Devil Fruit as Bonney, which would also explain how Rouge could keep Ace in her womb for 20 months. This is further backed up by the fact that Bonney was really sad after Ace's death.

5. SHANKS IS EVIL

Many of us are familiar with one of the Yonko, Redhair Shanks. He was introduced in the story earlier and was seen helping Luffy. He is also the one through which Luffy got his Devil Fruit. As we saw him being friendly with Luffy and helping him, it made us believe that Shanks is an ally but what if he's actually EVIL?

A theory suggests that Shanks might be the leader of SWORD, working with Imu. He has been monitoring other pirates and preventing them from reaching Laugh Tale. So according to this, Shanks fought Kaido to prevent him from reaching Marineford to help Whitebeard, who might had eventually reached Laugh Tale. I know at first it might sound unbelievable but it can't be ruled out entirely.

6. Tashigi and Kuina are the Same Person

Tashigi and Kuina are both talented swordswoman, obsessed with swords and they look almost the same. Zoro also had a hard time telling them apart and also, while her encounter with Zoro she says the same thing Kuina did.

Some theories states that their resemblance is not just a coincidence but they might be the same person. We were told that Kuina fell down the stairs and died but we never saw her dead body or heard anything after that. It also sounds quite far fetched. But what if just like Sabo, Kuina never died but lost her memory and is living as Tashigi now. If not the same person, they might be sisters too.
